Congrats to overall winner Elijah Caret (M, 19) with a time of 16:59,8. 
Top female finisher was Strider Cecilia Morin (21) with a time of 20:56,2. 
Oldest female finisher was Paula Sawyer, and oldest male finisher was Ron Paquette.

Another Quarry Road Summer Race Series has successfully wrapped up.  Due to Covid-19, the format was different this year -- runners had one week to run the coarse at any time that was convenient to them and then submit their results to the race director.

A big shout out goes to Patrick Guerette for organizing another successful summer series, despite the challenges that 2020 threw his way.

New to the Striders, Joshua Way placed 4th overall and won the 14 & Under Male age group. Joshua looks to have a very promising running future.

The Morins were the family that walked away with the most rocks this year.  Brian Morin won the 50-59 Male age group and Cecilia Morin won the 20-29 Female age group (and 2nd Woman overall).

Congratulations to Jeff Jones (24:36) of Chelsea and Gabby Schreffler (30:10) of Bethel, winners of the 39th annual, 4.5-mile January Thaw Road Race held on January 21, 2018, in Belgrade. As the top male and female runners they each received $50 gift certificates from New Balance. 

There also was a post-race raffle for all runners with movie passes to local movie theaters, $20 gift certificates from local businesses like the Korner Store and Deli in Oakland, and gift certificates from local lumberyards. 

A big thank-you to everyone who helped with the race and special thanks to race co-directors Geoff Hill, Ron Paquette, and Gene Roy. Gene was unable to attend this year's January Thaw due to illness, but Central Maine Striders sent Gene the "Get Well" message above and its best wishes.
