Kennebec Land Trust, in collaboration with the City of Augusta and the City of Hallowell, is raising funds to build a 1.5+ mile accessible trail on Howard Hill Historical Park in Augusta and Effie Berry Conservation Area in Hallowell.

The trail would enable a wide variety of users, including those with mobility impairments, as well as families with young children, to experience the wooded hilltop of Howard Hill, its scenic viewpoints, and the field habitat of Effie Berry Conservation Area.

Central Maine Striders would like to support this project with a $500 donation from the club and an additional $500 matched from our members ($1,000 total). If you’re interested and able to contribute, please contact club president, Martha Cowperthwaite, at run@centralmainestriders.com so she can collect and arrange a single donation directly from the club. Thank you to everyone who has donated already!
